On the entire territory of the town of Mariánské Lázně it is possible to stop or stand (park) only in marked parking lots or in places where it is not forbidden by a traffic sign or a provision of a relevant legal regulation.
There is a parking prohibition for buses and trucks throughout the city. Tourists can only get on and off at the bus stop City Service or in front of the hotel where they are staying.
There are parking automats practically all over the city centre. It is therefore almost impossible to park a car in Mariánské Lázně without paying the parking fee. There are currently around 30 parking automats in the town. Parking is charged daily from 9:00 to 19:00. Charges vary according to parking zones. For one hour of parking you will pay 30 - 40 CZK. The minimum fee is CZK 10 for half an hour. Newer parking automats offer the possibility to buy a one-day permit to enter the spa area, refund coins in case of overpayment and you can pay parking fees in euros (coins worth 1, 2 and 5 €).
If you are going to Mariánské Lázně for a spa or wellness stay, you will probably stay in one of the local hotels or guesthouses and you are partly won. Most of the accommodation facilities in the town have their own parking. However, the capacity of these car parking facilities is very limited. We therefore recommend booking a parking place in advance (preferably during the booking process). Hotels usually offer parking for a fee. However, you always have a car at your "fingertips" and usually park in a camera-protected area. If the hotel no longer has free capacity, we recommend parking in the Parking House Mariánské Lázně for longer stays.
If you are going on a shorter (several hours) visit to the town, you can park anywhere in the centre of Mariánské Lázně in the designated parking spaces and pay the parking fee for the required period of time or use the services of the Parking House. There is probably nothing else you can do, because you are unlikely to park for free in the centre of Mariánské Lázně. Most of the parking places are charged through parking automats. If you think you have found a free parking place with not a single parking automat in sight, then please pay attention and look twice at the traffic signs. Most likely these are resident parking places. Parking in the city is carefully controlled by the city police and offenders can be punished with a fine for bad parking.
