Center Park - Mariánské LázněCenter Park is one of the less prominent yet fascinating city parks of Mariánské Lázně. Stretching as a narrow strip of greenery between Hlavní and Masarykova Streets, from the Cristal Palace Hotel to the roundabout near Hotel Bohemia, it offers a peaceful retreat and several remarkable landmarks.
The park’s main feature is the memorial to the Jewish residents of Mariánské Lázně, who were forced to leave or deported during World War II. The memorial was unveiled in 2010 on the site of the former synagogue destroyed during the “Kristallnacht.”
Another highlight is the sculptural group “The Four Seasons” by sculptor Zdeněk Šimek. From here, visitors enjoy a unique view of the Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir.
